Anthony Arredondo

“Don’t call it a comeback, Anthony has been here for years!” Anthony is our choice for trainer of the month in October. First of all Anthony takes fitness personally. After injuring his ankle in the summer he didn’t let that stop him from working out. He decided to pump it up and work on his upper body! Now he is the biggest and strongest trainer at RENEW bench pressing 250lbs for reps! Not only did he work on his upper body, he let his ankle heal, but maintained his cardio strength on all of the cardio machines. Next he knew it was time to get back to business leading his clients through finish lines. He led clients through finish lines at Super Jock and Jill and the Dawg Dash. Not only is he a great trainer, but he is a great teammate. Anthony (with his DJ partner Nick) creates the play lists that keep the gym movin’. He is the music man of RENEW and cannot be stumped on ‘who sings this?’ Anthony doesn’t stop at providing great music, he also provides great food! This ex chef has the best Tomato soup on the eastside and trainers have to beg him to make it!

Congratulations to Charmaine Arredondo as RENEW’s Client of the Month for October 2009! After having two children, Charmaine made the decision to transform her body in June 2009. Over the last five months, Charmaine has lost 41 lbs, achieved a lean 17% body fat, and will run her first ½ Marathon at the Seattle Marathon November 29th.

Her outstanding results are what most people strive for. What is the secret to her success? First, it takes a 100% commitment to reaching your goals. Second, Charmaine enlisted the help of a trainer to set up a nutrition plan to shed the weight. Third, as she began a run/walk program her fitness level improved and began to participate in events. Fourth, she began incorporating a strength program to build muscle density, increase her metabolism, to shape and sculpt her body. Finally, she has been able to maintain her success with regular assessments and truly adopting the nutrition, cardiovascular training, and strength as a healthy lifestyle.

Thank you Charmaine for being such a great example of what can be achieved with commitment, focus and hard work. You are an inspiration to us all!

Thorton Place Sunday Football party
